SEAN M. McHUGH
Sean McHugh was a standout football player at Xavier High and at Trinity College in Hartford.
McHugh graduated Xavier in 1984 and his 1983 team was Class L runnerup and was ranked fifth in the state. McHugh was named to the Hartford County Conference All-Conference team, the All-Middlesex County team, the Class L All-State Second team and was named Honorable Mention, New Haven Register All-State team.
McHugh, who was a National Honor Society member at Xavier, was named as a Scholar-Athlete by the New Haven County Football Foundation.
At Trinity he was a three-year starter and letter-winner on the offensive line and on special teams. He was named the winner of the John C. Alexander Award as the athlete with the highest GPA.
He played football professionally in Finland.
